Marvel Comics story

Today is 12 November 2006.  A week shy of my 35th birthday, and today I signed and sent a contract with Marvel Comics who just purchased an Avengers story I wrote.  This represents the culmination of many years of hard work and offers the opportunity of a lifetime. 

Welcome to MattYocumComics.com, a blog that goes beyond comics and into the thoughts of a writer who loves writing in all forms: novels, nonfiction, short stories, flash fiction, poetry, articles, love letters to his wife, and of course, comics.  The latter is mostly what this website will be devoted to, but the former will certainly be addressed in the days and weeks and months to come.  You will learn who I am, what I love, and where I plan to go in the future.
